Armand, my friend ! That is one of the reasons I like you - you always have a twinkle in your eye.
For the rest of the forum members who happen to read this I must tell that I recently visited Armand in Frankfurt, and came home with a van-ful of good secondhand bikes for the market in Finland. Among these, a Honda XBR, in excellent shape. But - no. I tried the XBR but I did not like it. There is too much of rocket about the bike. I like to sit upright when riding, it is not nice to ride so you have to strain your neck, and my carpal-tunnel-syndroma-hands hate the position when I lean on them. Yes, I know I should ride faster, but on springtime gravel-roads in Finland you don't ride fast, you are too occupied to follow the advice by Polar Pilot ; keepin' the rubbers down !!
My companion (whose name also happen to be Peter, just to confuse you and all the rest who deal with our company) did not ride the XBR. He sat on it, in the middle of my smithy, centerstand down, and said "The sound is manly, the colour is great (black) but..." and stepped off. Predjudices.
BTW, Armand, I sold the yellow today to a young lady from Tampere. Her admirer was with her, he is a Harley-addict, as he put it himself. After the testride he came back with a broad grin on his face and said "...what a bike, what a torque... I just might buy one too !"
And another subject Armand (sorry folks if we got private here) what about the jacket-swap between our sons ???
All good things, and thanks for your help ! Peter
